| Abigail kept talking about the cow when we got home. :) |
It started off okay. The girls enjoyed some of the entertainment. I thought Madison would enjoy it more but then again she was in her car seat on a feed and really couldn't engage in that position. We proceed to the checkout and Abigail and I looked forward to the little packed lunch we picked up there with corn on the cob, mashed potato and BBQ ribs. Well, at the check out Madison started to struggle and I could tell she wasn't going to keep her feed down. Poor thing! Abigail kept grabbing my hand to go look at the waterfall with bucket and I was in the middle of packing the carriage and paying. I quickly unhooked Madison and poor thing kept throwing up uncontrollably. I asked the cashier if someone could help push the carriage to the car as I managed with the girls. I felt so bad for both girls! The past week or so we've been increasing Madison's calories and feeds and were blessed she was keeping it down! This was one of the worse incidents I've had out and one we've had in some time. She kept throwing up for about 30 to 60 minutes, her entire feed and then stomach contents (bile). Just when I thought she was done she would start all over! Poor thing! She was so exhausted fell asleep for a second and it started again! Thankfully Bill just finished delivering and was not too far at the depot. He drove over to help.
During all this Abigail was incredible! Thank you Lord. She put herself in the car seat and buckled it. She kept asking for the ham and cheese I promised her. Poor thing! She is having to grow up so fast with all this!
Bill took Madison up stairs to try to nap. Thankfully she fell asleep and has a little nap. She was very congested from all the throwing up. We pray she doesn't have a cold, as it sets her back weeks and risks her being in the hospital. We had to cancel her doctors appointment and gave really short notice because we couldn't drive with her like that. She can choke or aspirate.
Abigail and I went for a ride. Abigail will generally fall asleep in the car and she could barely keep her eyes open! I drove by a few houses that we wanted to see at recent opens but missed. They were nice but didn't feel like it was for us, so it saved us a trip with the girls and the little time we do have together as a family.
Our nightly Monavie tea is a special time for our family. Madison usually scoots over to us when she hears Monavie and joins us. She licks her lips when she hears it. :-) This evening Abigail was running in circles around Madison and singing, giggling etc... so Bill joined her. Well Madison starting turning around as they circled around her (imagine a sit and spin). It was the sweetest thing!
Abigail is amazing me with her vocabulary and sentences! She is also becoming quite the little photographer. Before bed she took at least 100 pictures. Just watching her move in different positions and look at her subject then click, it's just pretty neat! Madison is exploring everywhere and so fun to watch. She loves to open the cabinets and pull things out. :-) A favorite activity would be pulling all the toilet paper off the holder. Those precious smiles and giggles from the girls are priceless!
So definitely a day of blessings and challenges. Love being with my girls and husband!
