This is the Life and Clapping!

Abigail decided to lounge on the couch and cuddle with her doll (the protein shake is blocking her doll) when we came downstairs this morning. It was sweet she was cuddled with her doll under the covers. :-)

She decided to play peek-a-boo!

Here I am Mommy!

My little artist!
Trying out different techniques!

Madison has been playing with Abigail's baby! Not sure how Abigail would like seeing this. She went for a walk with Daddy. :-)

Kissing those fingers! LOL more like chewing! Poor thing has more teeth coming in!
Madison clapped for the first time repeatedly, smiling and making her cute little noises! Such joys watching her! She is getting so close to standing on her own. Today we tried some banana and mango puree (organic store bought) and she seemed to like the taste. Small steps. She use to like Bill's pureed sweet potato with nutmeg and apple sauce with cinnamon but grew tired of it.

Cupcakes for Valentine's Day

After waiting for a half an hour and finding out the speech therapist was coming because the school system was closed I decided to start making the cupcakes for Bill for Valentine's Day. Yes, a little early but I go back to work tomorrow and won't be able to work on it with the girls and with Bill getting hurt on Monday, thought it would be a nice treat. Abigail woke first thing in the morning asking "Daddy OK?" So what better project to make Daddy feel better and Abigail feel like she is doing something for her Daddy.

Abigail got so excited when she saw the box of mix and pan. She now has a cake dance she does! One of these days I have to get these on video! She kept going around the house saying "birthday". She is associating cake with birthday. :-)

Let the baking begin! I am amazed at Abigail for many reasons because often she surprises us by doing something without instructions. She watches us so much and picks up quickly. I don't remember making cupcakes with her or muffins but she knew exactly what to do with the cupcake liners. I found some cute ones with hearts and butterflies with matching picks. She put all the liners in the pan and then she helped pour the red velvet batter.

As you can see from the photos she didn't want to put her shirt back on after her sleeves got all wet from washing her hands after cracking the eggs! She's been liking being naked lately or at least today shirtless. :-)

Madison was hanging out with us watching the entire process. She tried helping several times by grabbing everything off the table! I have to remember to keep things at a distance. She has an incredible reach!

Daddy's favorite frosting! Who could resist licking the mixers!

Checking on the cupcakes while drinking milk.

As you can see, Abigail decided her frog hat was a requirement to baking. Who needs an apron when you have a frog hat!

Madison helping clean the measuring cups!

 Next batch!

Time to put it in the oven!

Abigail was excited to put the candy hearts on! As you can see she lined up all the cooked cupcakes on the table!

Without instruction Abigail starting putting the candied hearts on the cupcakes.

She was so proud of putting the heart pick on the cupcake so was pointing to it for me to see.

She took a handful of picks and continued decorating after each one had a candied heart!

Madison was very pleased with how they came out!

Madison is getting into sleep position! :-)

Look Mommy a candy!

Wait to Daddy sees!

Madison helping!

Daddy just getting in the door from work and greeted with Abigail and a heart pan full of cupcakes made with love!

As we all started the process for bedtime, Madison was finishing her bolus feed and trying to stand. Yes, not the conventional way but she actually is getting pretty high in this position. :-)

I think it is bed time!
